The Audio Visual Specialist position at the US Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) involves managing the audio-visual program, providing video and audio duplication services, and creating visual information materials. Responsibilities

  • Assist with managing the US Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) Audio Visual Program.
  • Provide video and audio tape duplication service and audio recording for official USASOC ceremonies.
  • Plan, design, and perform layout of various visual information using multiple media methods.
  • Work with Media Production Center team and command staff to develop printed visual information materials and simple audio-visual presentations.
  • Operate and maintain video/still imagery archiving system.
  • Utilize computer editing systems to maintain data and develop various materials for public publication.
  • Communicate with customers about the best way to achieve desired effects.

Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience in multimedia and audiovisual materials production, operating audio-visual computer editing software, and managing video and audio equipment (for GS-09).
  • Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education in a relevant field (for GS-09).
  • One year of specialized experience in producing multimedia and audiovisual products, capturing still photos and video using complex digital camera systems, and utilizing editing software (for GS-11).
  • Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education in a relevant field (for GS-11).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud software.
  • Knowledge of video editing and multimedia software.
