About the position

The Audio-Visual Support Services Engineer 2 at Diversified is responsible for providing ongoing support for audio and video technology at client sites. This role involves assisting users with AV systems, managing events, and ensuring the functionality of AV/V systems. The engineer will coordinate with client staff and contractors, troubleshoot issues, and maintain equipment schedules, all while adhering to client procedures and standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary support for VTC and AV incident management, including problem determination and resolution of AV systems and video endpoints.
• Operate, bridge, and administer video endpoints and AV control systems.
• Assist in the setup and management of events, meetings, or functions requiring audio and video technology.
• Coordinate with client staff to determine AV/V and infrastructure requirements for new conference rooms or media designs.
• Maintain an AV/V maintenance and replacement schedule and inventory for all in-house equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair AV/V problems as required, or report issues for manufacturer service.
• Conform to client's change management procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise-level AV support
• CTS certification from AVIXA (preferred)
• Experience with major industry manufacturers including QSC, Crestron, Cisco, Microsoft, Biamp, and/or Poly
• Knowledge of signal flow for audio, video, control systems, lighting, networking, access control, phone systems, and camera systems
• General proficiency with computers and specialized software applications specific to the AV industry.

Nice-to-haves

• Manufacturer certifications (QSC, Cisco, Clear One, Crestron, Extron, etc.)
• Experience testing and troubleshooting complex AV systems
• Competencies in Video Conferencing products (Cisco preference)
• Competencies in QSC and Crestron control systems
• Experience with Advanced AV Signal Flow Diagramming and Advanced Troubleshooting.
