About the position

The Audio Visual Support Technician position is a critical role that will be physically located in Kuwait, providing essential support under the LOGCAP program. This position involves deploying and maintaining audio, video, and event lighting systems, as well as the design, installation, and programming of audio/video systems. The technician will be responsible for setting up and tearing down AV projections and providing media and equipment support services, including the production of video and video discs when requested. The technician will also serve as the primary backup for the AV maintenance technician during periods of heightened operational tempo and need. In this role, the technician will provide audio video design, installation, and programming services to the Area Support Group Kuwait. They will maintain installed audio video systems and provide live event services for various ceremonies, concerts, and other live events. This includes the setup and operation of digital audio systems, live video systems, and event lighting systems. The technician must ensure that all deployable audio and visual systems meet the manufacturer's standards and are ready for deployment with minimal notice. Additionally, they will maintain a schedule for all events and installations, resolving any scheduling conflicts as necessary. The position requires a proactive approach to performing other duties as required, adapting to the dynamic needs of the program or company. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in audio/visual system design, installation, and programming, with a focus on live event production. They will be expected to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a flexible approach to varied tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide audio video design, installation, and programming services to Area Support Group Kuwait.
  • Provide maintenance for installed audio video systems belonging to Kuwait, and/or facilities assigned by Area Support Group Kuwait.
  • Provide live event services for ceremonies, concerts, and other live events, including digital audio system setup and operation, live video system setup and operation, and event lighting system setup and operation.
  • Maintain all deployable audio and visual systems to manufacturer's standards, ensuring equipment is deployable with minimal notice.
  • Maintain the ability to deploy two event audio systems simultaneously.
  • Maintain the schedule for all events and installations, and de-conflict any scheduling problems if needed.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Must possess a High School Diploma.
  • Must meet requirements outlined in AR 25-2 for NIPRNET access.
  • Must be capable of effectively communicating technical information in English, both written and verbal.
  • Must have customer service training.
  • Must be able to obtain a Kuwait driver's license with a heavy vehicle endorsement.
  • 1-2 years customer service experience.
  • 2 or more years of experience in live event production with a specialty in one of the three major disciplines: Audio, Video, or Lighting.
  • 1-3 years of experience in audio/visual system design, installation, or programming, with knowledge and practical experience with Closed Circuit Television systems, equipment, and software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Infocom CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D certification preferred.
  • AMX, ACE-D, ACE-I, and ACE-P preferred.
  • Extron AV Associate certification preferred.
