The Video Teleconference Specialist role is a critical position that provides onsite support to a Federal Government client in Washington, DC. This role is primarily focused on supporting audiovisual technology, including Crestron systems within an O365 environment, and facilitating Video Teleconferencing (VTC) solutions. The specialist will be responsible for ensuring that technology for collaboration, meetings, training, and specialized meeting rooms operates smoothly and efficiently. As a Tier 2 support technician, the individual will troubleshoot equipment issues and provide onsite assistance to ensure optimal performance of audiovisual systems. In this role, the specialist will engage in various tasks, including providing recommendations and support for audio-visual integration projects at client facilities, particularly in mission-critical and high-visibility environments such as command centers and conference rooms. The position requires technical troubleshooting for day-to-day operations, coordinating vendor repairs, and managing basic hardware installations and technical system commissioning. The specialist will also implement quality assurance measures, ensuring adherence to client processes and procedures, which is essential for consistent trouble resolution and continuous process improvement. The role demands a proactive approach to managing AV hardware and software within the Microsoft environment, integrating new and existing hardware, and keeping the AV system current through regular updates and patches. The specialist will be responsible for tracking work efforts, time, and products using Jira and ServiceNow ticketing systems, updating hardware inventory reports, and performing audits of equipment. Additionally, the specialist will review project Statements of Work (SOW) to ensure technical accuracy in installations and may make minor programming changes to customized code and touch panel files under the guidance of an engineer or programmer. Creating and maintaining VTC documentation is also a key responsibility, along with demonstrating the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
