About the position

The Video Teleconference Specialist role involves providing onsite support for audiovisual technology and video teleconferencing systems to a Federal Government client in Washington, DC. This position focuses on troubleshooting and maintaining equipment, ensuring effective collaboration and communication through technology in specialized meeting rooms. The role requires Tier 2 support and involves working closely with clients to enhance their audiovisual capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite support for audiovisual technology and video teleconferencing systems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and provide Tier 2 support for audiovisual technology.
  • Support the DC client onsite 3-4 days per week as needed.
  • Coordinate vendor repairs and schedule maintenance with vendors and customers.
  • Implement quality assurance controls and ensure adherence to client processes and procedures.
  • Maintain hardware inventory reports and perform audits of equipment.
  • Create and maintain documentation for video teleconferencing systems.
  • Make minor programming changes to customized code and touch panel files under the direction of an engineer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 1-3 years of experience with Audio Visual over IP or 4-6 years of equivalent work experience in audio and video teleconferencing.
  • 5 years' experience supporting audio and video teleconferencing within a Microsoft environment.
  • Knowledge of Crestron Flex for Microsoft Teams Rooms and Microsoft Intune for device management.
  • Certified in Microsoft 365, focused on Teams or Crestron strongly preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Provide recommendations and support for audio-visual integration projects at client facilities.
  • Technical troubleshooting for day-to-day operations and coordination of vendor repairs.
  • Knowledge of AV hardware and software within a Microsoft environment.
  • Experience with Jira and ServiceNow ticketing systems.
