About the position

The Audio Visual Systems Engineer role at Booz Allen Hamilton involves designing and building audiovisual systems for enterprise clients. This position requires a blend of technical skills and big-picture thinking to modernize legacy systems and implement the latest digital technology in the AV industry. The engineer will be responsible for the installation, testing, and support of audiovisual systems, ensuring that client needs are met with effective engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and build audiovisual systems for enterprise clients.
• Evaluate and modernize legacy systems with the latest digital technology equipment.
• Implement, install, and support audiovisual systems.
• Conduct installations, testing, and research of new products for projects.

Requirements

• Knowledge of AV Switchers, Codecs, and Internet-Based Video Solutions.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices, including AVIXA and ANSI.
• Ability to install, terminate, and test cables, connectors, and interfaces.
• Ability to read building architectural drawings.
• Associate's degree and 4+ years of experience with the design, integration, and testing of Audiovisual Systems or 6+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Extron, QSC, and Crestron Programming.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• AVIXA CTS Certification.
