About the position

The Audio, Visual, Lighting and Videoconferencing Specialist at JANUS Research Group is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, installing, operating, and sustaining AVL-VC systems for classrooms and conference rooms. This role involves programming, configuring, and troubleshooting various audio and visual systems, as well as providing user training and on-site support for significant events.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, install, operate, and sustain audio, visual, lighting, and videoconferencing systems.
  • Program, configure, and troubleshoot systems such as Crestron, AMX, DSPs, matrix mixers, switches, and codecs.
  • Provide user training on AVL-VC systems.
  • Sustain and operate Senior Leadership AVL-VC systems.
  • Provide on-site support for large events such as the annual Fires Conference.

Requirements

  • Hold a current Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) - General Certification.
  • At least 8 years of verifiable experience in providing Audio, Video, Lighting, and Videoconferencing systems support.
  • Experience with Digital Sound Processor (DSP) Equipment Installation and Operations.
  • Experience with Sound Board Equipment Installation and Operations.
  • Experience with Cisco, Tandberg or Polycom Videoconferencing Equipment Installation and Operations.
  • Experience with Digital Lighting Control Systems Equipment Installation and Operations.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and climb/work at heights of 20 feet.
  • Comfortable working at heights, in dimly lit venues, and around restricted/tight spaces.
