About the position

The Audio Visual Technician (Videographer) position is an on-call role focused on supporting the livestreaming of public meetings and hearings for Deschutes County. The technician will operate audio and video equipment, assist in connecting residents with county government, and perform post-meeting tasks to ensure recordings are available online. This role provides an opportunity to gain valuable experience in local government operations and public communication.

Responsibilities

  • Operate audio and video equipment for livestreaming public meetings and hearings.
  • Assist the Public Information Officer in ensuring successful livestreaming of events.
  • Run Zoom during Board of County Commissioners and Planning Commission meetings.
  • Perform post-meeting tasks to upload recordings to the county's website.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two years of administrative support experience or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Oregon driver's license within 30 days of hire.

Benefits
