Focus Audio Visual is seeking an experienced Audio Visual (AV) Installation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the installation of AV systems across both commercial and residential applications. This role requires a hands-on approach to installing various AV systems, including large format displays, projectors, screens, cabling, speakers, and video conferencing systems. The technician will be responsible for ensuring that all installations are completed efficiently and meet the high standards established by Focus Audio Visual. The technician will work closely with project management to maintain daily communication and follow instructions accurately. A strong understanding of audio/video systems, including cabling, signal types, connections, terminations, and riggings, is essential. The technician will also be expected to read and interpret drawings and designs to ensure proper installation. This position requires a professional work appearance and a clean driving record, as the technician will be working on-site at various locations. In addition to technical skills, the technician must possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients. The role involves performing comprehensive commercial onsite audio/video equipment installations, including low voltage wiring, equipment rack wiring, programming, testing, and installation of LCDs, projectors, and projection screens. The technician will determine cable pull paths and install cables, as well as assess the structural installation of speakers, displays, screens, and projectors. This is a full-time position with a pay range of $17.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on experience.
