About the position
UofL Physicians is hiring for an Audiologist position located at 3920 Dutchmans Lane, Louisville, KY 40207 and Shelbyville Hospital, Shelbyville, KY 40065. The Audiologist will be responsible for administering diagnostic audiological tests to differentiate between types of hearing disorders, providing hearing aid testing, selection, and fitting to all populations. The role includes comprehensive diagnostic testing such as ABR, ENG, ECOG, ASSR, and counseling patients regarding test results and options that best meet their hearing care needs. The successful candidate will work alongside six audiologists, six otolaryngologists, and approximately 30 AuD students in a large, multi-disciplinary, academic medical center environment, supervising AuD students and collaborating with caregivers in various specialties.
Responsibilities
- Pediatric and adult diagnostics including otoscopy, tympanometry, pure tone and speech audiometry for self-scheduled patients and ENT clinical coverage
- Hearing aid evaluations and fittings
- Hearing aid follow-up evaluations and programming
- Ear mold impressions
- Cerumen removal
- Vestibular diagnostics and treatment including Videonystagmography, evoked potentials, and dynamic platform posturography
- Auditory Brainstem Response evaluations including threshold search and neurodiagnostic testing
- Implantable hearing device evaluations and programming including Baha
- Cochlear implant evaluations and programming
Requirements
- AuD or Master's degree in Audiology
- Possess the CCC-A credential
- Eligible for Kentucky licensure in audiology
- Current Kentucky licensure in audiology
Nice-to-haves
- Minimum five years of experience preferred
