About the position

The Audiologist I position at Sharp Healthcare involves providing evaluation and treatment for audiological disorders in an ambulatory setting. The role is part of a coordinated healthcare team, focusing on patient care following appropriate medical referrals. The position offers a $7,000 sign-on bonus and operates on a 10-hour shift schedule with no weekend requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluation and treatment of audiological disorders to patients upon appropriate medical/professional referral.
• Consult with physicians, providers, and audiology peers regarding patient evaluations and care.
• Support the work of department PSRs and assist in training support staff when required.
• Maintain department equipment and treatment areas in a safe, clean, and orderly manner.
• Demonstrate courteous and professional behavior towards patients, providers, co-workers, and all internal and external customers.
• Follow policies and procedures for completing all department documentation.
• Participate in in-service training and continuing education courses.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Audiology if graduated prior to 01/2008; or Doctoral Degree in Audiology if graduated after 01/2008.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) certification is required.
• Audiologist license from the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
