About the position

The Audiologist position involves performing medical assessments for United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. The role focuses on reviewing medical records, conducting specific audiometric tests, and completing necessary documentation to support veterans' claims for benefits. This position is in-person and offers a structured schedule without evening or weekend hours.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct medical assessments for Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
  • Review medical records uploaded in a computer portal during patient appointments.
  • Perform Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test on patients.
  • Complete a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) in the computer portal for each assessment.
  • Assess an average of 3-6 Veterans per day.

Requirements

  • Hold an Au.D. degree from an ASHA Accredited school.
  • Possess a current Audiologist license.
  • Meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
