About the position

The Audiologist position at Lehigh Valley Health Network involves managing adult and pediatric auditory and vestibular disorders. Responsibilities

  • Conducts and interprets diagnostic testing and comprehensive audiologic evaluations.
  • Counsels patients regarding hearing aids and provides hearing aid evaluations and fittings.
  • Investigates and studies the underlying causes, precipitating factors, and symptomatic behavior of impaired speech patterns.
  • Monitors condition of equipment and calls appropriate repair/maintenance personnel when necessary.
  • Evaluates hearing disorders to determine diagnoses and courses of treatment.
  • Evaluates psychological information to measure the impact of hearing loss on a patient.
  • Conducts research related to the causes and treatment of hearing and balance disorders.
  • Attends meetings related to patient diagnostic evaluation, treatment and contributes to discussion as an interdisciplinary team member.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Audiology
  • 1 year experience in an audiology setting/will accept CCC as 1 year of experience
  • Ability to conduct assessments and provide treatment interventions.
  • Ability to build comprehensive reports and effectively convey information to others.
  • Knowledge of contemporary audiology practices.
  • Skill to identify and treat hearing and other auditory disorders.
  • Licensed Audiologist - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire.
