The Audiologist plays a critical role in diagnosing and treating hearing disorders, providing exceptional care to patients, and improving their quality of life through advanced hearing solutions. This role involves conducting thorough hearing assessments, fitting hearing aids, and collaborating with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care. Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed diagnostic hearing assessments to identify hearing loss or balance-related conditions.
  • Fit and adjust hearing aids and other assistive listening devices.
  • Provide guidance and education to patients on hearing aid care and use.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans, including aural rehabilitation programs, for patients of all ages.
  • Work closely with physicians, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
  • Offer counseling to patients and their families regarding the social and psychological aspects of hearing loss.
  • Conduct regular follow-up appointments to assess progress and make necessary adjustments to hearing solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid state license in audiology.
  • Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of clinical audiology experience preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.
