About The Position

The PRN Registered Nurse RN PreOp PACU position at Banner Health involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients in the PreOp and PACU settings. Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona.
• Prior RN PreOp/PACU experience preferred.
• Completion of post-offer Occupational Health physical assessment, drug screen, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs.
• Formulate a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and input from the patient, family, and health team.
• Implement the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of the health care team activities.
• Evaluate the patient's and family's response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed.
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record in accordance with policy.
• Provide care based on the best evidence available and participate in research activities within clinical practice.
• Contribute to society through activities that lead to excellent patient outcomes and participate in the improvement of national nursing quality indicators.
• Interact with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts regarding patient health care.
