That's where you come in. If you believe in these things too, you're our kind of person! We are currently seeking an Audit/Accounting Rapid Action Consultant to join our team working remotely. There are several positions available.

Responsibilities

  • Quickly and continually assess a situation, develop plans, and align resources to take effective action as quickly as possible
  • Unite personnel, resources, and information in one physical or virtual location to achieve the goal faster than the individual elements would accomplish separately
  • Design and implement audit risk corrective action plans
  • Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at MBC and client sites, and obtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required by MBC and/or MBC's clients. These requirements are subject to change without advance notice at the discretion of MBC and MBC's clients

Requirements

  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology or Business Management OR CPA, or CISA, or PMP or CGFM or CDFM
  • 4 years of experience with federal financial management and 2 years federal accounting
  • Ability to perform risks assessment and identify internal controls
  • Knowledge of federal accounting standards (i.e. FASAB) and GAAP
  • Experience designing and implementing corrective actions to address audit risks
  • Experience with identification of audit risks and internal controls; develop of risk and control matrices (RACMs)
  • Experience with end-to-end process mapping
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or client

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior Federal/DoD client experience
  • Knowledge of Environmental & Disposal Liabilities
  • Federal Audit experience
  • Experience with cost estimation for Environmental & Disposal Liabilities
