About the position
The Audit Associate position involves working as part of a team to assist in various client assignments within the accounting industry. The role requires engagement planning, fieldwork, and client coordination, with opportunities for experienced associates to supervise and review the work of others. The position is full-time and may require working outside of normal business hours and some travel for professional development or client assignments.
Responsibilities
- Gain an understanding of the client's business and industry.
- Assist in developing the audit strategy and preparing audit planning documents.
- Complete assigned work in a timely and efficient manner.
- Identify issues and seek guidance as appropriate.
- Effectively communicate with the client to obtain necessary information.
- Perform and document work in accordance with industry and Firm standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or related major with strong accounting concentration.
- Must have earned 150 semester credits and meet all other educational requirements for CPA licensing.
- 0-2 years of audit experience.
- Strong technical skills sufficient to perform work in accordance with GAAP and GAAS.
- Ability to identify accounting issues requiring resolution.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Experience using Microsoft Word and spreadsheet applications.
- Ethical and professional demeanor.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Continuous learning mentality.
