In your role as an intern, you will support various phases of financial statement audits and projects, demonstrating creativity and initiative while collaborating with team members. Responsibilities

  • Support select phases of a financial statement audit.
  • Assist in select projects, demonstrating creative thinking and individual initiative while working as a team member.
  • Proactively seek guidance, clarification, and feedback.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks while exercising professional skepticism.
  • Produce high-quality work that adheres to relevant professional standards.
  • Keep up-to-date with technical developments in the area of specialization.
  • Handle, manipulate, and analyze data and information responsibly.
  • Communicate confidently in a clear, concise, and articulate manner, both verbally and in written materials.

Requirements

  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree in Accounting.
  • Required cumulative GPA: 3.0.
  • Client service intern positions are typically for students in their 3rd year of a 4-year degree program or in the 4th year of a 5-year program.
  • Before starting full-time, meet all educational requirements to be eligible for the primary credential license appropriate for the relevant practice area, such as the CPA license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrates an interest in all aspects of auditing and a desire to pursue a career in public accounting.
  • Basic knowledge of financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, and financial reporting systems including GAAP.
  • Ability to research and analyze pertinent client, industry, and technical matters.
  • Experience in utilizing problem-solving skills and managing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to interact with various levels of leadership in both written and verbal form.
