About the position

The Audit Manager - Business Controls, Compliance, Risk at Bank of America is responsible for overseeing audit work as an Auditor-in-Charge (AIC) and executing the audit strategy for various Lines of Business (LOBs). This role involves driving risk-based auditing, assessing business impacts, drafting audit reports, and managing relationships with business partners. The position emphasizes fostering an inclusive work environment and mentoring team members, while ensuring compliance with audit policies and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Executes audit strategy for risk-based auditing by defining audit scope and programs, and drafting audit reports using automation and innovative methods.
  • Acts as Auditor-in-Charge (AIC) by overseeing audit testing to ensure timely execution and adherence to quality standards and audit policies.
  • Assesses impacts to business processes and controls, providing recommendations on severity ratings and escalating trends based on business knowledge.
  • Influences and challenges management to improve the control environment and drive continuous improvements in audits.
  • Oversees a team of associates, providing mentoring and fostering an inclusive work environment.
  • Maintains relationships with business partners, primarily line management, to develop business knowledge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Audit, Business Control, Finance, Compliance, Risk, or related fields.
  • Excellent project management, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Professionalism, dependability, integrity, and trustworthiness with a cooperative attitude.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment and multitask effectively.
  • Desire to learn and teach others, with a high energy and positive attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills and dedication to superior service.
  • PC proficiency, including spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software applications.
