About the position

The Audit Manager position at a CPA firm in Tampa, FL, is a full-time role responsible for overseeing client engagements, including planning, executing, and completing audits, reviews, and compilations. Responsibilities

  • Run client engagements from start to finish, including planning, executing, directing, and completing audits, reviews, and compilations while managing to budget.
  • Prepare and draft financial statements and note disclosures.
  • Supervise and train staff auditors and interns in the audit and review process.
  • Identify problem areas and client issues, proposing solutions to supervisors, managers, and partners.
  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with client staff.
  • Stay up to date on standards and regulations, assisting in communicating and implementing changes in the department.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting audit.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • CPA certification is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to supervise and lead projects, multi-task, think independently, and problem-solve.
  • Knowledge of GAAP.
