About the position

The position at Bank of America involves overseeing audit work as an Auditor-in-Charge (AIC) and executing audit strategies for various Lines of Business (LOBs). The role focuses on risk-based auditing, assessing business impacts, and fostering an inclusive work environment while mentoring team members. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvements in the control environment and maintain strong relationships with business partners.

Responsibilities

  • Execute audit strategy for risk-based auditing by defining audit scope and programs, and drafting audit reports using automation and innovative methods.
  • Act as Auditor-in-Charge (AIC) by overseeing audit testing to ensure timely execution and adherence to quality standards and audit policies.
  • Assess impacts to business processes and controls, providing recommendations on severity ratings and escalating trends as necessary.
  • Exercise intellectual curiosity and judgment to influence management and improve the control environment.
  • Oversee a team of associates, providing mentoring and fostering an inclusive work environment.
  • Maintain business partner relationships, primarily with line management, to develop business knowledge.
  • Utilize analytical skills and Global Markets Electronic Trading expertise to execute audit testing responsibilities.
  • Lead the team in providing quality audit reports and share results with business leaders.
  • Independently execute audit test work and demonstrate sound project management skills.
  • Raise issues and concerns, making recommendations for severity ratings and assessing impacts to business processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6-7+ years of Audit, Risk, Business Control, Compliance, Finance, or other relevant experience.
  • Good understanding of Electronic Trading including Direct Market Access, Algorithm trading & Strategies, and Sponsored Access.
  • Ability to plan, execute, and evaluate audit test plans within a risk-based audit methodology.
  • Sound organizational, analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to influence management and lead change.
  • Self-starter with a desire to learn and teach others, exhibiting flexibility and intellectual curiosity.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze large amounts of data and turn it into usable information.
  • Ability to work in detail while also looking broadly across a population to identify risks and concerns.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of conversing with management at all levels.
  • Knowledge of financial instruments and financial risk management principles.
