About the position

The Audit Manager II (AIC) Financial Crimes is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of audits within specific business units or functional corporate areas at TD Bank. This role involves managing a team of auditors, ensuring audits are completed on time and within budget, and acting as the primary contact for management regarding audit scope and findings. The position requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of the banking industry and financial crimes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning and execution of audits covering discrete business units or functional corporate areas.
  • Contribute to the Audit planning process, including audit plans, resource requirements, and budgets.
  • Ensure audits are executed and completed in accordance with established standards and within prescribed time, budget, and scope parameters.
  • Perform testing of critical areas of audit and review audit documentation.
  • Oversee findings follow-up and issue validation.
  • Evaluate internal and external risks for assigned business lines and/or functions.
  • Act as the primary contact with management regarding audit scope, findings, and status.
  • Manage a small to medium-sized team assigned to a given audit, providing coaching and feedback on performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years related experience required.
  • PC skills (MS Office Suite).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced critical thinking and risk-based decision-making skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Advanced analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Advanced knowledge in designated subject matter areas.
  • Relevant certification required.

Nice-to-haves

  • CAMS or CFE certification.
  • Demonstrated Financial Crimes audit experience in the financial services industry or Big 4.
  • Banking experience preferred.
