About the position

The Audit Manager II for Financial Crimes/AML CoE at TD Bank is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of audits within specific business units or functional corporate areas. This role involves managing a team of auditors, ensuring audits are completed on time and within budget, and communicating findings to management. The position requires a strong understanding of banking regulations and the ability to evaluate risks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning and execution of audits covering discrete business units or functional corporate areas.
• Contribute to the Audit planning process, including audit plans, resource requirements, and budgets.
• Ensure audits are executed and completed in accordance with established standards and within prescribed time, budget, and scope parameters.
• Perform testing of critical areas of audit and review audit documentation.
• Oversee findings follow-up and issue validation.
• Act as the primary contact with management regarding audit scope, findings, and status.
• Evaluate internal and external risks for assigned business lines and/or functions.
• Manage a small to medium-sized team assigned to a given audit, providing coaching and feedback on performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of related experience required.
• Proficient in PC skills (MS Office Suite).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Advanced critical thinking and risk-based decision-making skills.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Advanced analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
• Strong project management skills.
• Advanced knowledge in designated subject matter areas.
• Relevant certification required.
