About the position

The Audit Manager II for Financial Crimes High Risk at TD Bank is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of audits within specific business units or corporate functions. This role involves managing a team of auditors, ensuring audits are completed on time and within budget, and communicating findings to management. The position requires a strong understanding of internal and external risks, as well as the ability to lead and mentor team members in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning and execution of audits covering discrete business units or functional corporate areas.
  • Contribute to the Audit planning process, including audit plans, resource requirements, and budgets.
  • Ensure audits are executed and completed in accordance with established standards and within prescribed time, budget, and scope parameters.
  • Perform testing of critical areas of audit and review audit documentation.
  • Oversee findings follow-up and issue validation.
  • Act as the primary contact with management regarding audit scope, findings, and status.
  • Evaluate internal and external risks for assigned business lines and/or functions.
  • Manage a small to medium-sized team assigned to audits, providing coaching and feedback on performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of related experience required.
  • Proficient in PC skills (MS Office Suite).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Advanced knowledge in designated subject matter areas.
  • Relevant certification required (e.g., CAMS or CFE).
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work well independently and with others.

Nice-to-haves

  • Banking experience preferred.
  • Experience in Financial Crimes/AM audit.
