About the position

The Audit Manager II for QAIP - Financial Crimes at TD Bank is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of audits across various business units and corporate functions. This role involves managing a team of auditors, ensuring audits are completed on time and within budget, and communicating findings to management. The position requires a strong understanding of internal and external risks, as well as the ability to lead and coach team members effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning and execution of audits for specific business units or corporate areas.
  • Contribute to the audit planning process, including resource requirements and budgets.
  • Ensure audits are completed in accordance with established standards and within prescribed time, budget, and scope parameters.
  • Perform testing of critical areas of audit and review audit documentation.
  • Oversee follow-up on findings and issue validation.
  • Act as the primary contact with management regarding audit scope, findings, and status.
  • Manage a small to medium-sized team, providing coaching and feedback throughout the audit process.
  • Evaluate internal and external risks for assigned business lines or functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of related experience required.
  • Proficient in PC skills, particularly MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Advanced knowledge of laws and regulations governing the banking industry.
  • Relevant certification required (e.g., CAMS or CFE).
  • Experience in financial crimes audit preferred.
