The Audit Project Coordinator is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Internal Audit (IA) Department. This role encompasses a variety of tasks including managing Audit Committee reporting, tracking audit issues, administering audit software, scheduling meetings, and assisting with Quality Assurance reviews and audits as assigned. The coordinator plays a crucial role in monitoring the status of the audit plan, managing budgets, and overseeing co-source agreements. This position is vital for ensuring that the IA Department operates efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of the organization’s audit functions. In addition to administrative duties, the Audit Project Coordinator assists in developing and maintaining systems for tracking the Audit Plan status, resource hour budgets, and variances. They are also involved in creating project management reports that help the IA Department evaluate current and future resource needs and project timelines. The coordinator is responsible for tracking the time and expenses of external professional service firms, which supports the review and approval of vendor invoices. Furthermore, they assist in preparing, reviewing, and distributing IA reports and other departmental deliverables, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and timely. The role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as the coordinator must maintain and enhance both physical and electronic records systems for the IA Department. Acting as the administrator for any audit-related software, the coordinator ensures that all tools are functioning optimally to support the department's needs. This position may also involve performing additional duties as requested, making it a dynamic role within the organization.
