About the position
The Audit Project Manager for Capital Planning at U.S. Bank is responsible for partnering with various lines of business and risk management professionals to create and maintain an effective risk management framework. This role involves ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, identifying risks, and providing solutions to minimize losses. The position requires strong analytical and project management skills, as well as effective communication and relationship-building abilities.
Responsibilities
- Partner with assigned Line of Business and RCA professionals to create and implement a risk management framework.
- Participate in projects ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Identify gaps in internal processes and inform solutions to minimize losses.
- Respond to and escalate risks as appropriate.
- Serve as a liaison between the Line of Business and the Lines of Defense.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Typically more than six years of applicable experience.
- Considerable knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and financial services.
- Thorough knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies.
- Strong analytical, process facilitation, and project management skills.
- Effective presentation, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other software packages.

- Considerable understanding of the business line's operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls.
