About the position

The Audit Project Manager I-IT position is a hybrid role responsible for leading audit projects within the Bank's internal operations, focusing on IT audits. The role involves assessing risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and improving process efficiency. The manager will supervise audit activities, provide expertise, and support external audits as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assigns, supervises, and reviews audit projects.
  • Provides feedback, direction, and professional development to assisting auditors.
  • Conducts special projects and facilitates external audits.
  • Creates reports and documentation to communicate findings.
  • Designs audit procedures, techniques, and sample approaches to validate testing methods.
  • Communicates effectively with internal and external parties regarding audit procedures.
  • Develops and executes audit procedures and performs complex analysis.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Verifies the reasonableness of financial data.
  • Compiles relevant business, process, and system information prior to auditing.
  • Updates process flows, risks, and controls, accounting for technology's impact on the control environment.
  • Evaluates risk within the internal audit control system and develops process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Public accounting or Bank internal auditing.
  • Required designation as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Bank Auditor (CBA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Public accounting or Bank internal auditing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with IT General Controls.
  • Audit experience within financial services.
  • CISSP - Certified Information System Security Professional preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
