About The Position

The Audit, Safety, and Compliance Manager will oversee and manage all environmental health and safety, compliance, and audit functions within East Bay Tire Co. This role is crucial for creating and implementing systems to ensure a safe and compliant work environment, while also participating in training and development initiatives for employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Health, Business, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in safety, compliance, or related field, preferably within the distribution or manufacturing industry
  • Safety certifications desired
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Familiarity with the tire industry ideal
  • Demonstrated organizational capabilities and detail-oriented
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and a can-do attitude
  • Self-motivated and self-starter
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues or problems
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs. on occasion
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, carry, push, pull, and bend constantly
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft 365 Products, Adobe Suite Products, DocuSign, and various other software suites

Responsibilities

  • Active participation in East Bay Tire's Safety program to maintain a healthy and injury-free environment
  • Participate in training and company meetings to facilitate individual and company growth
  • Conduct safety orientation for all new hires to ensure team members work safe, home safe daily
  • Ensure compliance with the Bureau of Automotive Repair
  • Manage all aspects of safety compliance including worker's compensation, safety training, HazCom, and OSHA
  • Oversee TIA training/certification (CTS300, FTF, ETS, ITS)
  • Manage forklift training and certification
  • Maintain records for TIA, MSHA, DMV DOT, Forklift, etc.
  • Conduct internal inventory audits and ensure compliance
  • Keep IIPP, HIPP, and other required documents updated per state guidelines
  • Design and implement programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Manage Safety and DOT Driving programs as needed
  • Develop safety training calendar for various training methods
  • Implement and manage the East Bay Tire Safety Program in collaboration with HR
  • Manage safety training in iSolved University
  • Oversee the East Bay Tire Boots on the Ground Program
  • Prepare safety bonus for approval and manage the Safety Bonus Spreadsheet
  • Track laws and regulations affecting organizational policies
  • Standardize operational procedures for all locations
  • Administer and manage fleet operations including insurance claims and vehicle maintenance
  • Inspect facilities for safety issues and ensure maintenance schedules are followed
  • Handle workplace accidents and ensure proper reporting to worker's compensation carriers
  • Ensure compliance with Covid reporting as needed
