About the position

The Audit Senior Accountant will lead and guide clients while supporting internal leaders in the Northeast Region. This role involves planning and executing attestation engagements in accordance with accounting standards, maintaining client relationships, and overseeing the work of internal staff to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and assist with audits, reviews, and compilations for clients in various industries.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and evaluate internal controls.
  • Assist with the coordination of the day-to-day duties of planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up.
  • Develop reasonable time budgets and coordinate audit requests to meet time constraints and client deadlines.
  • Interact with clients to ensure efficient information flow from the client to the audit team.
  • Communicate with Client, Management, and Managing Director on work status and client issues that arise.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in a relevant position.
  • Experience in public accounting or other professional services environment preferred.
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent technology experience.
  • Must progress professionally by obtaining relevant certification as soon as possible if certification is not already attained.
  • Must maintain required CPE credits annually.
  • Must complete acknowledgment of Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards document.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance from the United States government for governmental engagements.
