About the position

The Audit Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the completion of audit engagements at a local CPA firm, ensuring that engagement objectives are met and keeping management informed of progress and any unusual developments. This role requires strong leadership and analytical skills, as well as the ability to mentor junior staff and manage client relationships effectively.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the orderly completion of audit engagements.
• Determine whether engagement objectives have been met.
• Keep managers and partners informed of progress and unusual developments.
• Mentor and lead junior staff members.
• Ensure compliance with industry-specific audit issues and attest services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's degree is a plus.
• Valid California CPA license.
• Four or more years of experience in a public accounting firm with audit experience, particularly with governmental agencies.
• Two or more years of supervisory experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Advanced technical skills in accounting and auditing.
• Ability to travel throughout California.
• Solid understanding of industry-specific audit issues and attest services.
