About the position

The Accounting Manager (Audit) at Russell Cellular is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Payroll and Auditing Departments. This role involves analyzing reports and data to ensure operational efficiency, participating in external audits, and ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws. The manager will supervise and coach direct reports, maintain confidentiality of transactions, and provide support to retail locations, all while upholding high standards of ethics and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Payroll and Auditing Departments.
• Analyzing and evaluating reports, data, and systems to ensure efficiency.
• Participating in external audits, including financial, tax, and payroll audits.
• Overseeing the processing of payroll changes and system upgrades.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant wage and hour laws.
• Supervising and coaching direct reports to develop their skills.
• Highlighting trends for upper management and providing solutions.
• Ensuring all transactions remain confidential and releasing information only to authorized personnel.
• Assisting executive management with ongoing projects and updating policies and procedures.
• Delivering outstanding service and support to all retail locations by resolving issues in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong accuracy and speed for data entry.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and communication skills.
