About the position

This position is for a permanent full-time auditor at the GS-13 level, located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The role involves providing audit liaison and financial advice to procurement officials, serving as a point of contact for DCAA at procurement commands, and facilitating communication between procurement officials and DCAA auditors. The position requires a Top Secret security clearance and involves some travel (25% or less). The salary range for this position is between $117,962 and $153,354 per year.

Responsibilities

• Provides audit liaison and financial advice to procurement officials covering highly complex functions of on-site customer's acquisition center.
• Serves as a DCAA point of contact at procurement commands to identify and analyze trends in procurement cycle impacting government contract costs and DCAA's workload and use of resources.
• Facilitates effective communication and coordination between procurement officials and DCAA auditors.
• Represents DCAA in meetings with procurement where discussion includes issues that impact DCAA's relationship and work with procurement commands.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen as verified through E-Verify Program.
• Must meet the requirements of the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification program within three years of employment start date.
• Must have a degree in accounting or a related field with 24 semester hours in accounting, or a combination of education and experience totaling four years.
• Must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent.
