About the position

The Auditor, Quality Assurance at Frontier Airlines is responsible for monitoring the performance measures of the Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP) by conducting audits of internal and contract organizations. This role ensures compliance with federal regulations and safety standards while promoting a culture of safety and efficiency within the airline's operations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits of the CAMP organization and systems to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and issue audit reports detailing hazards and risks identified during audits, along with required corrective actions.
  • Perform inspections and audits of contractor activities supporting CAMP requirements at various locations.
  • Conduct special audits as directed by the Manager of Quality Assurance.
  • Maintain familiarity with training requirements and ensure training is current for all functions of the position.
  • Audit fuel storage and delivery vendors to ensure compliance with Frontier Airlines manuals and industry standards.
  • Manage and coordinate Safety Management System (SMS) activities, including hazard identification and safety risk assessments.

Requirements

  • FAA A&P Certificate preferred or at least 5 years of commercial aviation experience in Maintenance, Quality Assurance, or Regulatory Compliance with a 14 CFR 121 Air Carrier.
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (Parts 21, 25, 43, 65, 121, 145, etc.), Airworthiness Directives, and Manufacturer Service Documents.
  • Thorough knowledge of FAA Flight Standards Information Management System - 8900.1 and SAS DCT checklists.
  • Ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Critical thinking skills to evaluate information and identify potential systemic hazards.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, presentation, and report writing skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and IT systems knowledge such as TRAX and SCEPTRE.
  • Understanding or use of Six Sigma methodology.
