About the position

Stauffer & Associates is seeking talented auditors to join their innovative CPA firm based in Liberty Lake, WA. The firm is dedicated to providing high-level advice and financial expertise, particularly to the Tribal community. Responsibilities

• Function in a training capacity as an auditor/accountant for Tribal governments, Tribal enterprises, and casinos.
• Participate as an auditor/accountant team member to facilitate the efforts of the team.
• Assist in planning and conducting audit and management support assignments.
• Compute, classify, record, and verify numerical data for use in auditing accounting records.
• Apply conventional audit and/or management support techniques to complete large audits and/or management support activities.
• Communicate with the team leader and team members concerning issues affecting audit and management support assignments.
• Travel to client locations as required.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Eligible to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam.
• Knowledgeable in applying auditing and accounting principles, concepts, and practices.
• Excellent analytical skills to analyze financial data and identify trends or anomalies.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer skills and experience with accounting software.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
