About the position
The Parking and Transportation Specialist position at Auraria Campus is responsible for providing customer service related to parking management and transportation services. This role includes tasks such as customer transport, parking enforcement, vehicle traffic control, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The specialist will assist customers, manage parking operations, and maintain vehicle serviceability, contributing to the overall mission of the Parking and Transportation department.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer transportation services, ensuring safety regulations are followed.
- Arrange regular pick-ups for customers or groups and assist them with luggage.
- Communicate with dispatchers to exchange information and receive service requests.
- Enforce parking regulations using License Plate Recognition equipment and issue warnings or citations as needed.
- Patrol assigned areas to ensure compliance with parking regulations.
- Respond to customer calls for assistance related to parking and vehicles.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and ensure equipment is serviceable.
Requirements
- One year of customer-facing experience.
- Valid and unencumbered driver's license.
- Six months of experience with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
