About the position

The Market Processor position at H-E-B involves assisting market personnel with various tasks related to meat processing and display. The role is essential for ensuring the quality and presentation of meat products in the market, requiring attention to detail and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Assists market personnel in basic duties as needed.
• Participates in receiving all merchandise.
• Participates in trimming, scraping, and traying of knife-ready cuts of beef, pork loins, and other pork.
• Processes items such as ground meats, beef skirts, stew meats, cube meat, and fresh fish.
• Blocks display cases.
• Cleans/sanitizes processing area, storage cooler, and equipment daily.
• Cleans fresh and frozen multi-deck and coffin cases.
• Wraps meat for meat counter and special orders.

Requirements

• Eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Power jack training.
• On-the-job training (OJT) (201 - 204).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring detailed work and precision.
