About the position

H-E-B is seeking an energetic and motivated Store Department Lead to oversee a well-stocked and maintained department while providing exceptional customer service. This role involves supervisory responsibilities such as scheduling, training, and developing team members. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to quality and customer service, and will be eligible to become an owner in the company after meeting certain criteria.

Responsibilities

• Lead a well-stocked and maintained department while providing superior customer service.
• Perform supervisory responsibilities including scheduling work and training/developing Partners.
• Assist with inventory control and manage product loading and unloading.
• Train Partners, direct work, and resolve customer complaints.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Oversee effective production planning and execution in the bakery department.
• Assist in all technical areas as needed, including baking and decorating.
• Provide coaching on superior customer service and assist customers with product selections.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or 6 months of related experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Expert knowledge of department production stations and quality standards.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in retail or food service industry.
• Knowledge of bakery production processes.
