About the position

The Autism Aide position at CTA Community Supports is a full-time role focused on providing overnight support to male adults with Autism and other disabilities in a residential home setting. The primary responsibilities include assisting clients with personal hygiene, ensuring their safety throughout the night, and performing various cleaning tasks. This position requires employees to stay awake during their shifts and offers paid training for those without prior experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist male adult clients with personal hygiene tasks, including toileting and showering.
• Monitor clients throughout the night to ensure their safety and comfort.
• Help clients back to bed if they wake up during the night.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks in the residential home.
• Stay awake throughout the entire night shift.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Willingness to assist with personal hygiene tasks (brief/diaper changes).
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds from the floor.
• Basic computer skills (Slack, Note Taking, Smart Phone Usage).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with people with disabilities.
• Background in special education, social work, or mental health services.
• Experience as a CNA, home health aide, or nanny.
