About the position

The Autism Aide position at CTA Community Supports is a part-time role focused on providing overnight support to male adults with Autism and other disabilities in a residential home setting. The primary responsibilities include assisting clients with personal hygiene, ensuring their safety throughout the night, and performing various cleaning tasks. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in caregiving, special education, or social work, with no prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Help male adult clients go to bed and check on them periodically throughout the night.
• Assist clients back to bed if they wake up during the night.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks in the residential home.
• Support clients with personal hygiene needs, including toileting and showering.
• Stay awake the entire night during shifts.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Willingness to assist with personal hygiene tasks.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds from the floor.
• Basic computer skills (Slack, Note Taking, Smart Phone Usage).
