About the position

The Autism Child Development Aide position at the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) involves working directly with children with autism to implement evidence-based behavior treatment plans. This part-time role focuses on teaching social, communication, and life skills while collaborating with experienced clinical professionals. The position is designed for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Work 1:1 with children with Autism to implement behavior treatment plans.
  • Teach social, communication, and life skills to children.
  • Collaborate with clinical professionals to enhance treatment effectiveness.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds while assisting patients.
  • Negative tuberculosis test.
  • English proficiency, both verbal and written, is required.
  • US Work Authorization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience as a Nanny, Babysitter, Preschool Teacher, or similar roles.
  • Working towards or completed a degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Sociology, Human Development, or Early Childhood Education.
