About the position

The Auto Appraiser Quality Analyst at SCA Appraisal Company is responsible for conducting audits of auto, truck, motorcycle, RV, and watercraft material damage estimates to ensure quality and compliance with client guidelines. This role involves presenting findings to vendors, assisting in the development of action plans for improvement, and training new appraisal vendors. The position is hybrid, requiring in-office work on specific days, and aims to maintain high standards of service and integrity in the appraisal process.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct auto, truck, motorcycle, RV, and watercraft material damage estimate audits.
• Present findings to handling vendors or franchise owners for correction.
• Assist in the development and implementation of action plans for appraisal quality improvement.
• Complete all assigned quality control file audits daily.
• Revise estimates/files as necessary.
• Manage escalated issues within designated territory from clients and internal staff.
• Train new appraisal vendors within assigned territory.
• Act as a mentor for new appraisal vendors.
• Assist with monitoring new appraisal vendors' performance.
• Validate all appraisal files meet state regulatory standards.
• Identify training needs for vendors and develop performance improvement plans.
• Ensure compliance with state statutes and regulatory matters.
• Coordinate and conduct evaluations and re-audits of appraisal files.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• 3-5 years of Auto Physical Damage estimating experience.
• Strong understanding of appraisal estimating software such as Audatex, Mitchell, and CCC.
• Knowledge of Auto Physical Damage claims processes.
• Must type 40+ words per minute.
• Competent level of computer literacy, including PC and Windows.
• Strong technical aptitude in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience with heavy truck, heavy equipment, and exotic vehicles.
