Responsibilities

• Operate and use all body shop equipment properly and safely.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Maintain tools and equipment in a proper state of repair.
• Wear all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirators.
• Comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials.
• Report any deviations to management.
• Replace damaged body parts, including bumpers, fenders, hoods, and trim.
• Realign car frames and repair structural damage.
• Fit, attach, and weld replacement parts into place.
• Mask and protect parts that are not to be painted and coated.
• Mix paint according to specifications.
• Inspect painted units for quality of workmanship, noting any runs, sags, or unpainted areas.
• Cooperate and assist other personnel in the repair and prepping of vehicles.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Mid-level experience in auto body repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of body shop equipment and safety protocols.
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• I-CAR certification or equivalent training.
• Experience with various auto body repair techniques.
