About the position

The AutoCAD Drafter Assistant position is a full-time role based in Miami, FL, that combines administrative support with technical drafting responsibilities. The ideal candidate will assist in office operations while creating and modifying technical drawings using AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy and organization in project management tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain documents, reports, and presentations using Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Manage office supplies and maintain a well-organized workspace.
  • Assist in project management tasks, including tracking project timelines and maintaining records.
  • Create, modify, and update technical drawings and blueprints using AutoCAD.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, or designers to ensure accurate drafting and design.
  • Maintain and organize technical drawings, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible.
  • Assist in reviewing and correcting designs based on feedback from supervisors or clients.
  • Perform general office duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining databases.
  • Support cross-departmental coordination for various projects, ensuring smooth communication.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or certification in drafting, design, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD drafting software is required.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with technical terms and processes in drafting, architecture, or engineering is an advantage.

Nice-to-haves
