About the position

We are seeking a talented AutoCAD Drafter/Designer to support our client's team in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in AutoCAD 2D, with the ability to work in AutoCAD 3D being a plus. In this role, you will work closely with the production team to optimize machine programs, create accurate designs, and ensure the efficient use of time and materials. Responsibilities

• Create and modify 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for furniture design and production.
• Optimize machine programs and nesting for maximum efficiency, minimizing time and material waste.
• Adhere to production schedules and timelines to ensure projects are completed on time.
• Identify design or production issues and propose effective solutions.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate, high-quality output.
• Maintain accurate documentation and drawings for production and future reference.
• Assist in the design process for new product lines or custom furniture solutions.
• Work with Router-CIM and G-code to ensure machine optimization (experience with these is preferred).
• Utilize Microsoft Office (Excel proficiency required) for reporting and communication.
• Ensure all work complies with company standards and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Advanced skill level in AutoCAD 2D.
• Experience with AutoCAD 3D is a plus.
• Familiarity with Router-CIM software is preferred.
• Experience with G-code and machine optimization.
• Strong understanding of production schedules and time/material efficiency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required).
• Excellent communication skills (must be fluent in English; Spanish is a plus).
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for quality.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AutoCAD 3D.
• Familiarity with Router-CIM software.
• Fluency in Spanish.
