About the position

The AutoCAD Drafter Specialist position offers an opportunity to utilize and enhance drafting skills in a collaborative, multi-disciplined team environment. The role involves preparing design drawings based on input from engineers and other drafters, with a focus on both 2D and 3D design software, particularly AutoCAD 3D.

Responsibilities

• Apply computer-aided drafting skills in a team environment.
• Produce 2D drawings for civil/structural and mechanical components for construction.
• Create master sketches to scale showing the relation of proposed installations to existing facilities and specifications.
• Communicate with the hiring manager to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Receive hands-on training in 3D design software environments.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in drafting or a high school diploma with equivalent technical design experience.
• Drafting experience using standard computer drafting tools (AutoCAD).
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of a computer.
• Ability to multi-task from project to project and prioritize tasks efficiently.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in a construction environment is a plus.
• Experience with Revit (1 year preferred).
