About the position

The AutoCAD Drafter position involves creating detailed electrical drawings and layouts for high voltage systems, specifically up to 220KV. The role requires collaboration with various disciplines to ensure error-free design deliverables and includes site visits for surveys and as-built documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience with AutoCAD and related software.

Responsibilities

• Experience in High voltage up to 220KV.
• Preparation of Single Line Diagram.
• Preparation of Electrical Equipment Plan & Section Layout.
• Preparation of Earthling & Lightning Protection Layout.
• Preparation of Erection Key Diagram.
• Preparation of Power Cable Tray Route Layouts.
• Preparation of Lighting and Power Layout.
• Preparation of General Arrangement Layout.
• Responsible for the preparation of Electrical Execution Drawings for grounding layout.
• Cable Trench Layout, Area Cable Trench & Tray Routing Layout.
• Checking of Electrical drawings prepared by Electrical Draught Person, managing of IDC (Inter Discipline Check-Print), solving the obstructions & interferences with other Discipline to prepare error free design deliverable packages and site visits during Construction, for Survey & As-Built.
• Checking of Electrical drawings prepared by Electrical Designer / Draught Person.
• Well versed in the use of Drafting Procedure, CADD deliverable and Electrical related Standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
• 4+ years of experience engineering/designing electrical systems within the Utilities or Energy industry
• Skilled in AutoCAD (MicroStation is a plus)
• Experience with ETAP, WinIGS, IEEE 88/998
• Experience using Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Bentley MicroStation and/or Bentley Substation software to develop 2D drawings or 3D models are a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional Engineer (PE) License is a plus
• Excellent interpersonal skills and work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
