About the position

Powerhouse is seeking a talented CAD Drafter to join our dynamic team in Crowley, TX. In this role, you will assist the AutoCAD Department by processing survey results and transforming them into detailed 3D plans. You will be responsible for reading and interpreting precise survey notes, revising 3D redline drawings, and ensuring that all project instructions are followed meticulously. This position requires proficiency in AutoCAD 2010 or later, as well as a solid understanding of model space, paper space, viewports, blocks, and plotting. A short test will be administered to assess your knowledge of the program. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating your ability to multitask effectively while maintaining professional communication with clients via email and phone. Team collaboration is essential, and you will be expected to provide constructive feedback and input as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist the AutoCAD Department by receiving survey results and assisting with processing.
• Receive CAD commercial survey results and process per project instructions.
• Read and process precise survey notes.
• Read and interpret surveys and transform them into 3D plans in model space.
• Revise 3D redline drawings as needed.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience with large customer interface preferred.
• Computer Draft and Design knowledge or equivalent work experience.
• Relevant experience with full understanding of concepts, practices, and procedures in preparing commercial floor plans.
• Must pass an MVR, background, and drug test.
