About the position
The AutoCAD Drafter position is a full-time contract role based in Anna, OH, focused on supporting engineering teams by updating and maintaining drawing systems, creating overview drawings, and ensuring accurate documentation of facility projects. The role requires effective communication with various engineering disciplines and proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
Responsibilities
- Update current drawing system for engineering use.
- Create overview drawings of the main plant utilities.
- Confirm and correct small project as-builts throughout the plant.
- Conduct drawing review of large building expansions.
- Support development of drawing standards, building specifications, and building standards.
- Develop a drawing database to support document control and efficient accessibility.
- Support development and maintenance of facilities building specifications and standards with the facilities team.
- Draft small as-built changes to existing drawings to keep the database up to date.
- Support Facility Engineers in bid document development.
- Assist mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers in the development and maintenance of the drawing database.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience with AutoCAD.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to read electrical, mechanical, civil, and architectural drawings.
- Effective communication skills with the facilities engineering team.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with AutoCAD Vault.
