About the position

The AutoCAD Drafter at Terrasmart will play a crucial role in supporting the Controls and Commissioning department, specifically focusing on single axis Tracker systems. This position involves a variety of technical and clerical duties that are essential for the daily operations of the department. The AutoCAD Drafter will be responsible for creating and maintaining project folders and documents, ensuring that all necessary information is organized and accessible. This role requires collaboration across different departments to complete various tasks, highlighting the importance of teamwork and communication within the organization. Proficiency in AutoCAD and technical drawings is a key requirement for this position, as the AutoCAD Drafter will be expected to produce and update technical drawings that are critical for project execution. Additionally, the individual will be tasked with updating project firmware and site settings as instructed, which requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to follow technical guidelines accurately. Participation in weekly team meetings is also a part of the role, where the AutoCAD Drafter will note action items for follow-up and completion, ensuring that projects stay on track. Effective communication is vital, as the AutoCAD Drafter will need to respond to emails and interact professionally with both internal and external customers. Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOMs) is also beneficial, as it aids in understanding project requirements and specifications. Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain project folders and documents.
  • Work between departments to complete various required tasks.
  • Proficiently use AutoCAD to produce technical drawings.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Some knowledge of VBA programming.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with Acrobat and Adobe.
  • Experience with SmartSheet and Slack.
  • Understanding of site layout drawings.
